Our office/bunkhouse is located at 44 US RT 16 in Jackson, NH, across the street from the Red Fox Restaurant.
The Synnott Mountain Guide's Bunkhouse is conveniently located in Jackson, NH and is open seven nights a week, all year long. The bunkhouse, which also serves as SMG headquarters, is a small house with a kitchen, living room/dining area, bathroom (with hot shower), and five beds (including a loft).
Bunkhouse FAQs:
$20/night per person in summer. (May 2 - Oct. 31)
$25/night per person in winter (Nov. 1 - May 1)
Maximum occupancy is five people.
While the bunkhouse is also our office, we usually only meet clients there in the winter. Spring, summer and fall you should have the place to yourself. In the winter, be advised that there will likely be people meeting there and gearing up most days. Also, during the winter we try to give first dibs on bunkhouse space to people who are taking courses with us.
We don't lock the bunkhouse, so you can simply stop by and let yourself in. There is an information sheet on the wall in the kitchen with all the info you'll need for your stay.
The kitchen has a range and an oven for cooking. There is a good supermarket called Grant's three minutes down the road in Glen where you can purchase groceries.
The bunkhouse does not have wifi, but you can pick up a signal about 50 feet north of the building. The Red Fox restaurant across the street has free wifi, as does the Jackson Public Library, which is about a five minute walk away on the village loop.
There is no television.
For those with families, we are two minutes away from Storyland.
The bunkhouse has a furnace and is heated.
There are two other buildings on the property so please park as close as possible to our building. There is a sign for SMG on the road and another sign over the front door of our building.
